RECAP EXPO REAL

Intense but inspiring days are behind us. We attended EXPO REAL (Messe München) as part of Investa Real Estate and we had plenty of positive conversations about what’s ahead.

→ 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺: Construction activity and project orders are picking up again. Industry players recognize that a wait-and-see position is no longer viable. The general outlook was cautious but positive, especially with regrd to the plans of the German government in terms of infrastructure spending.

→ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: This has led to adapted and entirely new business models across all sectors. Banks and investors, in particular, are showing strong openness to credible alternative asset classes like Life Science or other innovative tech infrastructure—like the ones HYBRICK is developing.

→ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: The panel “AI and the Real Estate Industry: Will Everything Change?” delivered a clear message: AI agents will change the industry by e.g. replacing junior-level tasks, especially data-intensive work. But the human element and collaboration are actually gaining more relevance.

Change has become the new baseline for staying competitive. Whether adapting business models, embracing new asset classes like Life Science, or integrating AI into operations: the industry is slowly shifting from caution to action.

As every year, our wine and music reception at the Investa stand was great fun—and a small reminder that in a digitizing world, real connection still drives real business.

Unser Key Takeaway: Berlins Life Science Sektor wächst kontinuierlich, das erkennt man bspw. anhand der Anzahl der Labormitarbeiter*innen, die in den letzten fünf Jahren deutlich gestiegen ist. 

Doch Wachstum entfaltet nur dann Wirkung, wenn die passende Infrastruktur vorhanden ist: flexibel, skalierbar und innovationsgerecht.
